Recording a Music Project on a Budget
In most cases, trying to record your own music project comes down to 2 things: education and money. Anybody will tell you that the more education you have, the less money you need.
Learning what to do FIRST will save you a lot of money when you start doing it. With todays technology (internet, computers, software, etc.) you can sit at your PC, get an education, and make an informed decision on a course of action.
As the summary states, it IS possible to get into the recording studio and complete you Rap or Singing project, AND be confident that you know what you're doing.
Do You Have What it Takes?
The fact that you arrived here shows that you do in fact have the ability to search for the knowledge needed to accomplish your task. It also shows that you believe you are (or can be) an artist, or can learn what you need to record someone who is. What I’ve just described is motivation, and if you have it, then you have what it takes.
Is this REALLY Possible to Accomplish?
Again, if you have what it takes, are disciplined and focused, it’s quite possible. In fact, I’ve taught these steps to many people, young and old, who have even recorded complete multiple-song projects using this info. A few have even done it for less than a couple hundred bucks.
There are no secrets to this; just information and education.
Are You Ready?
If you follow the instructions that are laid out in this program from start to finish, you can have a CD master completed in 4 to 6 weeks. Depending on the complexity of your song, it could take a little longer. However, a shorter period of time is not recommended; you don’t your project to sound like it was rushed. The more rehearsal and practice you have, the more comfortable and focused you will be on recording day.
You will not need to have all your money in-place at the start, but you will definitely need a solid plan of how you’ll get it as you need it.
You’ll likely start with a small amount to pay for your music, a small up-front cash deposit to secure your studio time, and the rest at the end of the recording session, when your master CD is finished.
